Kigali is set to once again take center stage in Africa’s technology revolution as Rwanda hosts the 2025 edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Africa on October 21, 2025.

The global event, returning to the Rwandan capital for the third consecutive year, underscores the country’s growing reputation as a continental hub for innovation and digital transformation.

Organized by the GSM Association (GSMA) in partnership with the Government of Rwanda and the Rwanda Convention Bureau, the congress brings together the most influential voices in technology, policy, and investment to chart the continent’s digital future.

Strategic partners such as the World Bank, UNDP, Smart Africa, Huawei, ZTE, Airtel Africa, and MTN Group are backing the event, reflecting the scale and diversity of its global reach.

This year’s edition will spotlight Africa’s fast-evolving digital economy through high-level discussions and collaborations on artificial intelligence integration, fintech expansion, digital inclusion, cybersecurity resilience, and sustainable connectivity solutions.

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) Africa will be held in Kigali on October 21, 2025.

From ministerial roundtables to start-up showcases, MWC Africa 2025 promises to ignite new partnerships and drive investment into the region’s growing innovation ecosystem.

Beyond the panels and speeches, the event reaffirms Kigali’s steady rise as Africa’s technology capital, a city where policy, innovation, and entrepreneurship intersect to shape the continent’s digital narrative.

Rwanda’s continued hosting of the congress is not only a recognition of its leadership in digital governance but also a testament to its commitment to inclusive, tech-driven development.

As the continent looks to harness technology for growth, MWC Africa 2025 will serve as both a mirror of Africa’s digital ambitions and a map of its path forward, with Kigali, once again, at the heart of the conversation.
