President Paul Kagame has urged new sworn-in government officials to serve the country diligently, putting public interest forward.
The president was speaking while presiding over the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed officials, March 15.
The new officials include Dr Felicien Usengumukiza, new deputy CEO of Rwanda Governance Board (RGB), and Kadigwa Gashongore, the Vice President of Commercial High Court.

The president reminded them, that while they are taking over new positions, they are not beginners in public service, thus a call to spare no effort in insuring the well-being of Rwandans.

“Swearing-in is not just a ceremony; it goes hand in hand with the duty to serve the country diligently towards the Rwanda we want,” Kagame said.
“I want all of us together as leaders to ensure that our responsibilities are fulfilled to the best of our abilities.”

Dr Usengumukiza and Gashongore were appointed to their new positions at the first cabinet meeting of this year, January 25 which also saw other appointments to institutional and diplomatic positions.
