Kigali, Rwanda – Emirates, one of the world’s largest international airlines, has appointed APO Group as its official public relations agency for Africa, in a move aimed at expanding its communication footprint and strengthening brand engagement across the continent.
The partnership, which takes effect immediately, will see APO Group provide strategic communications support, media relations, and stakeholder engagement in key African markets including South Africa, Kenya, Tunisia, Uganda, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Congo, Guinea, Tanzania, and Egypt.
According to the announcement, the collaboration is designed to reinforce Emirates’ visibility in Africa through locally relevant, insight-led communications aligned with the airline’s global brand and commercial strategy.
It also underscores the airline’s ongoing investment in Africa, a region that continues to play a vital role in its international network. Emirates currently operates passenger and cargo flights to more than 20 destinations across Africa, connecting the continent to major global markets through its Dubai hub.
The airline has consistently expanded its services in recent years, strengthening trade, tourism, and economic ties between Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
By partnering with APO Group, a pan-African communications firm with an established media network and regional expertise, Emirates aims to deepen engagement with local audiences and maintain a consistent voice across diverse markets.
The appointment highlights the airline’s long-term commitment to Africa and its strategy to enhance brand presence through meaningful, localized communication and partnerships.
