RDF Chief urges graduates to uphold discipline and national security

The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) marked a key milestone as soldiers completed a five-month Advanced Infantry Brigade training at the Combat Training Centre in Gabiro. The pass-out ceremony was presided over by the RDF Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. MK Mubarakh, who congratulated the graduates on their achievement and dedication.

In his remarks, Gen. Mubarakh emphasized the pivotal role of advanced military training in preparing soldiers to respond effectively to emerging threats and to perform their duties with competence.

“This training equips you with essential operational skills, but it also instills a strong sense of discipline, which is a core value of the RDF,” he said.

He highlighted that discipline remains fundamental in guiding soldiers to uphold RDF standards, maintain professionalism, and execute responsibilities with integrity.

The Chief of Defence Staff encouraged the graduates to carry forward both the tactical knowledge and the disciplined mindset acquired during training, ensuring that it translates into excellence in service.

The five-month program at Gabiro involved intensive instruction in advanced infantry techniques, operational readiness, and leadership at the brigade level. Beyond the technical and tactical components, the course emphasized teamwork, resilience, and ethical conduct, qualities that form the foundation of a professional military force.

The ceremony concluded with a sense of pride and responsibility, as the newly trained soldiers were deployed back to their units, prepared to contribute to national security with enhanced skills and unwavering commitment.

The RDF continues to prioritize such comprehensive training initiatives, ensuring its forces remain capable, disciplined, and ready to protect Rwanda’s sovereignty.
