RDF Infantry brigade concludes intensive advanced training

Kigali, Rwanda – An infantry brigade of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), made up of senior and junior officers alongside other ranks, has successfully concluded a four-month Advanced Infantry Training course conducted at the Nasho Basic Military Training Centre in Kirehe district.

The completion ceremony was officiated by the RDF Chief of Defence Staff, General MK Mubarakh, and drew attendance from RDF generals, senior commanders, and officers.

As part of the pass-out activities, the graduating troops showcased the competencies developed during the training through a range of tactical demonstrations.

These included coordinated infantry manoeuvres, martial arts drills, and live-fire exercises, underscoring the brigade’s preparedness and operational effectiveness.

The RDF Infantry brigade has successfully concluded a four-month Advanced Infantry Training course.

Addressing the graduates, Muganga praised their discipline, resilience, and commitment throughout the rigorous course.

He called on them to carry the same level of professionalism into their future assignments and to put the acquired skills to practical use in safeguarding national sovereignty and responding to evolving security challenges.

The Chief of Defence Staff further stressed that discipline remains the foundation of the RDF’s success, noting that ethical conduct and strong moral values are central to the force’s identity. “Discipline must always take precedence,” he said.

The Advanced Infantry Training course was conducted at the Nasho Basic Military Training Centre in Kirehe district.

The Advanced Infantry Training program is designed to sharpen combat skills and tactical proficiency among infantry personnel, ensuring they are well prepared to execute their responsibilities and support the broader mission of the RDF.
